RoommateAccess.com Opens Doors in Key Largo

By Anonymous

DATELINE: KEY LARGO/FLORIDA, ISSUED: January 29, 2002...With rent in many major cities of the United States continuing to climb, the Boston-based Internet Company, RoommateAccess.com, has announced its services will now be available for Key Largo, Florida.

Between the magnificent natural reefs, the sunken ships, the unique variety of marine life and the crystal waters, today's young professionals are drawn to the commercial, cultural and recreational resources of this magical city. As more people call the first of the fabulous Florida Keys, “home,” the race is on to locate and afford lodging within the city limits and beyond.

Fortunately, in more than 400 cities across the US, and now in the Key Largo area, RoommateAccess.com assists housing-hunters with the latest innovation in technology. As one of the nation’s leading roommate searches, this website provides a fast, efficient and inexpensive option to the high cost of real estate agents and the time-consuming task of searching by oneself.

STIFF THE REALTOR, STAY OFF THE SIDEWALK
The tradition route has roommate candidates hitting the streets with real estate agents in town. This sometimes-lengthy process can also be an expensive one. Many realtors charge a fee of a first’s month rent or 15% of the annual rent as a fee for connecting roommates.

Perhaps today's young professional's only discomfort in the pursuit of compatible digs or roomies is an overworked mouse-clicking index finger. RoommateAccess.com, the Web site for individuals looking for rooms and/or roommates or wanting to list rooms, has arrived.

HOW DOES IT FLY?
For a one-time nominal membership fee, currently being waived in many cities new to the service, RoommateAccess.com offers individuals seeking a roommate or a room the ability to cross-reference all of their preferences to find their ideal living arrangement. An update only of rooms and roommates meeting selected criteria is forwarded to customers usually on a daily basis - until a suitable arrangement is found.

Detailed information and photos of listed apartments can be viewed by logging onto the company's Web site at http://www.roommateaccess.com/. Advertising a room listing is free but listers may choose to upgrade for a small fee in order to receive contact information. Nearly 95 percent of customers find a roommate in less than two weeks.

WHERE DOES IT TAKE OFF?
In over 400 United States cities and 9 Canadian cities, the Web site is taking heavy hits and serving people looking for roommates all over North America.

"We have set our sights on becoming the nation's premier Internet resource for apartment location and roommate matching,” said Nelson Rodriguez, founder and CEO of RoommateAccess.com. “Expanding into new and major cities gives us the opportunity to build upon our successful track record while we help our customers save time and money."

Diver Emerges After Spending More Than 120 Hours Underwater

By Anonymous

September 5, 2004 -- Northeast Tennessee diver, Jerry Hall, broke the surface of Watauga Lake in Hampton, TN at 10:16 am EST Friday, September 3--- more than 120 hours after he began his dive on Sunday, August 29.

Hall’s dive team began raising his dive platform, which was 12 feet below the lake’s surface, at 5:00 am EST at the rate of one foot per hour. Hall was held at the six foot mark, and rapidly made his ascent from there. With the assistance of two dive team members, Hall stood upright, then boarded a boat unaided. Hall then spoke with media and well-wishers, visited with his dive team and ate two country ham biscuits. After a couple of hours, and a visit to his dive site, Hall showered and is now resting in anticipation of a steak dinner later this evening.
