Tektite Reaffirms Participation in the 2004 DEMA Show

June 30, 2004 -- While other manufacturers have been pulling out of or downgrading their plans for the 2004 DEMA Show, Tektite--the leader in LED dive light technology--reaffirms its continued participation and commitment to the show.

The DEMA Show is the best opportunity for dive retailers to learn about new products and to work together to help grow the industry said Scott Mele, president of Tektite.

"The DEMA Show has and will always be the most important venue for dive retailers to learn about new products," Mele said. "The simple fact is that marketing programs and sales reps cannot replace the product demonstrations and marketplace atmosphere found at the show. It would literally take months of visits from sales reps, reading through catalogs and visiting websites to come close to learning the same information.

"We are committed to the 2004 DEMA Show because of its vital role in the long-term health of the industry. In addition to being the number one opportunity to learn about new products, it also represents an excellent opportunity to meet with dive travel vendors and to expand our knowledge through training programs, lectures and trade seminars. Furthermore, I fully expect that this year’s show will have the same resounding success that we had in 1992 [the last show in Houston and subsequent years."

Retailers coming to Houston for the 2004 DEMA Show will not be disappointed by Tektite. In addition to introducing six super high-output LED dive lights, Tektite will be offering show-only specials with savings up to 15%.
